HOOVER, Ala. (Aug. 14, 2024) - After a seven week run of historic elite men’s amateur summer competitions beginning with the Sunnehanna Amateur in mid-June and culminating with the Western Amateur in early August, the 2024 Elite Amateur Cup standings were completed capping off the third edition of the Men’s Elite Amateur Golf Series (EAGS).
 
Using World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) points earned from competing in the seven men’s EAGS member events (Sunnehanna Amateur, Northeast Amateur, North & South Amateur, Trans-Mississippi Amateur, Southern Amateur, Pacific Coast Amateur and the Western Amateur), the top five finishers earned multiple exemptions into future USGA, PGA TOUR and other professional events.

First Place – Connor Jones, Westminster, Colo. (USA)
Finishing atop the standings is 22-year-old Connor Jones of Westminster, Colorado with a final total of 62.1140 points earned by competing in all seven EAGS events that included three Top Five finishes. A graduate student this past year at Colorado State, he was one of three players to compete in all seven events along with Hunter Thomson of Canada and Jayden Ford of New Zealand. He finished the Series 5.022 points clear of second place.
 
Jones’s EAGS finishes included 4th (Pacific Coast Amateur), T4 (Southern Amateur), T5 (Sunnehanna Amateur), T27 (Trans-Miss Amateur), T36 (Northeast Amateur), T55 (North & South Amateur) and T94 (Western Amateur).
 
As the 2024 Elite Amateur Cup Champion, Jones has been awarded the following exemptions:
  • PGA TOUR Exemption into 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship in October
  • 2024 U.S. Amateur Exemption
  • 2025 U.S. Open Championship - Exemption into Final Qualifying (must remain an amateur)
  • 2025 U.S. Amateur Championship - Exemption into Final Qualifying (must remain an amateur)

Second Place – Ben Warian, Stillwater, Minn. (USA)
Ben Warian of Stillwater, Minnesota takes second place in this year’s Elite Amateur Cup final standings.
 
A senior at the University of Minnesota, the 22-year-old competed in five of seven events highlighted by winning the 83rd Sunnehanna Amateur and advancing to the semifinals at the North & South Amateur. His other three finishes include T16 (Western Amateur), T35 (Southern Amateur) and T69 (Northeast Amateur).
  
Warian has been awarded the following exemptions for the second-place finish:
  • 2025 PGA TOUR or other professional tour start Exemption (TBA)
  • 2024 U.S. Amateur Exemption
  • 2025 U.S. Open Championship - Exemption into Final Qualifying (must remain an amateur)
  • 2025 U.S. Amateur Championship - Exemption into Final Qualifying (must remain an amateur)
 
Third Place – Anthony Delisanti, Sanborn, N.Y. (USA)
Anthony Delisanti of Sanborn, New York closed the Series in third place with 53.1778 points after competing in five EAGS events.
 
Delisanti began his summer with a T11 finish at the Sunnehanna Amateur then won the 62nd Northeast Amateur the following week in a playoff over Bryan Lee of Fairfax, VA. The 21-year-old Valparaiso University junior finished T17 (North & South Amateur), T41 (Southern Amateur), and T82 (Western Amateur).
 
Delisanti received the following exemptions for his third-place finish:
  • 2024 U.S. Amateur Exemption
  • 2025 U.S. Open Championship - Exemption into Final Qualifying (must remain an amateur)
  • 2025 U.S. Amateur Championship - Exemption into Final Qualifying (must remain an amateur)
 
Fourth Place – Zac Jones, Highland, Utah (USA)
Zac Jones of Highland, Utah finished the Series with 52.7864 points highlighted by two top four finishes to take fourth place.
 
The 23-year-old BYU junior competed in six EAGS events with a T3 (Northeast Amateur), 4th (Sunnehanna Amateur), T13 (Pacific Coast Amateur), T55 (Southern Amateur), T67 (Western Amateur) and T85 (North & South Amateur).
 
Jones earned the following exemptions for finishing in fourth place:
  • 2024 U.S. Amateur Exemption
  • 2025 U.S. Open Championship - Exemption into Final Qualifying (must remain an amateur)
  • 2025 U.S. Amateur Championship - Exemption into Final Qualifying (must remain an amateur)
 
Fifth Place – Quinnton Croker, Australia
Quinnton Croker of Australia rounded out the top five with 51.1486 points after competing in the last five EAGS events consecutively.
 
The 22-year-old and reigning Australian Amateur champion, finished 2nd(Southern Amateur), T3 (Trans-Miss Amateur), T17 (North & South Amateur), T36 (Pacific Coast Amateur) and T82 (Western Amateur).
 
Croker received the following exemptions for fifth place:
  • 2024 U.S. Amateur Exemption
  • 2025 U.S. Open Championship - Exemption into Final Qualifying (must remain an amateur)
  • 2025 U.S. Amateur Championship - Exemption into Final Qualifying (must remain an amateur)
 
Additionally, sixth through tenth place finishers in the 2024 Elite Amateur Cup standings receive an exemption into Final Qualifying for the 2025 U.S. Amateur Championship. Those players are Hunter Thomson (Canada), Josiah Gilbert (Australia), William Sides (USA), Jack Turner (USA), and Jase Summy (USA).
